These new works will be presented alongside a curated selection of pieces from his extensive catalogue, which currently spans approximately 300 compositions. Born in Switzerland in 1954, Schnell has carved out a reputation as one of Europe’s most distinctive contemporary voices. His creative output is remarkably diverse, encompassing orchestral, chamber, and solo music, as well as electronic and multimedia projects.
A defining characteristic of his artistic output is his ability to synthesize traditional orchestral structures with modern compositional techniques.
