CHINCHILLA returns with “OK As I Am,” a soulful anthem of vulnerability and self-acceptance.
CHINCHILLA unveils her latest single “OK As I Am,” a soul-baring track that navigates emotional conflict with raw introspection. Following the visual release of her recent single “Avoidance,” the new offering deepens the portrait of CHINCHILLA’s evolving sound and lyrical maturity.
The single begins delicately with piano and her rich vocals, steadily progressing to an intense crescendo. Reflecting the turmoil of self-discovery, the song mirrors CHINCHILLA’s own emotional path. As she explains, “‘Ok As I Am’ is my journey through emotional turmoil. It’s anger versus sadness versus self-acceptance, or the longing for that.”
Produced during her first writing session with Nico Rebscher and Eva Arnby after returning from Los Angeles, the track channels the complexity of personal healing. “It’s a bit like the different stages of grief… I guess nothing else matters apart from that,” she continues. “I think I was craving honesty in my songs.” 
The release coincides with exciting live news: CHINCHILLA is set to headline her own European tour this fall. Following three sold-out shows and opening for Justin Timberlake across Europe, she’ll also join G Flip on the US leg of their 2025 tour.
