Cassyette shares powerful new single “Phantom Limb” and deluxe album featuring 19 bold, genre-defying tracks.
Genre-defying trailblazer Cassyette has released the deluxe version of her debut album This World Still F***ing Sucks, along with the brand-new single “Phantom Limb.” Out now via 23 Recordings, the expanded album adds four essential tracks to her UK Top 40 project, pushing her sound into haunting, high-intensity territory.
The deluxe edition includes her Lady Gaga-endorsed cover of “Disease,” a stripped-down “When She Told Me,” and a club-inspired extended cut of “Sex Metal,” a nod to her newly launched goth/queer party Degenerette.
On the single, Cassyette explains: “Phantom limb syndrome is a chronic condition… Phantom limb is about what it’s like to leave someone toxic that never loved you back… I felt like I had to relearn my entire existence. This World Still F***ing Sucks is very much that chapter of my life. I am closing that chapter now. Life has changed and something new is bubbling.”
Cassyette’s raw, genre-melding sound has earned praise from NME for its “compelling pop-metal fusion,” while Kerrang! highlights it as “an album to get you off your knees and roaring loud.” The deluxe features previous fan favorites like “Over It,” “Friends In Low Places,” and “Why Am I Like This?” alongside a new standout, “Say My Name.”
Degenerette launched April 19 at Brighton’s Club Revenge, expanding Cassyette’s universe for fans of alt, goth, and LGBTQIA+ culture.
