Grammy winner Cam shares “Everblue,” a heartfelt preview from her July 18 album ‘All Things Light’.
Cam returns with a powerful new single titled “Everblue,” delivering a soul-stirring performance that sets the stage for her third full-length album, All Things Light, due out July 18 via RCA Records.
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter collaborated on the track with Aldae and Tyler Johnson, whose credits include work with Beyoncé and Harry Styles. Describing the song as “peak sad girl,” Cam holds space for collective heartbreak, singing:
“In a way I think we’re all eternally heartbroken by the world… I’m all done chasing what wasn’t meant for me.”
Directed by James Mackel (Doechii, FKA Twigs), the accompanying video visualizes Cam’s message through introspective storytelling and intimate visuals.
The emotional weight of “Everblue” builds on momentum from earlier singles, including “Turns Out That I Am God” and “Alchemy,” which People called “magical” and “genre-bending.” With All Things Light, Cam taps into themes of motherhood, existential reflection, and spiritual growth.
Created during the early stages of the pandemic, the album captures the isolation Cam experienced as a new mother. In her introspection, she began writing music not only for healing but as a message to her daughter Lucy. The result is a deeply personal and genre-spanning body of work, drawing on folk, country, and alternative pop.
Cam reunites with longtime producer Tyler Johnson and collaborates with a powerhouse team including Michael Uzowuru, Jeff Bhasker, and Starrah, further cementing her legacy as a versatile, emotionally driven artist.
