5SOS’ Calum Hood shares new solo track “Call Me When You Know Better” from upcoming album ORDER chaos ORDER.
Calum Hood, widely known as a founding member of global chart-toppers 5 Seconds of Summer, steps deeper into his solo journey with the release of “Call Me When You Know Better.” The poignant track arrives alongside its official music video and is part of his forthcoming solo debut ORDER chaos ORDER, due out June 13 via Capitol Records.
Built on a blend of digital textures and organic instrumentation, “Call Me When You Know Better” represents a turning point in the sonic evolution of the project. It’s a song that bridges Hood’s introspection with production edge, establishing the tonal backbone for the full-length record.
“‘Call Me When You Know Better’ is a love letter in the form of an apology,” Hood shares. “For maybe not being the best lover or friend to the people who mean the most to me. Thoughts contradicting one another, talking over each other and stretching reality. It’s a reflection on mistakes made, perpetual regret and self pity.”
Produced primarily with Jackson Phillips (aka Day Wave), ORDER chaos ORDER also includes contributions from David Burris and TMS. The album is a document of contrast—between clarity and confusion, restraint and release.
Previously released track “Don’t Forget You Love Me” was praised by Rolling Stone as a “Song You Need To Know,” setting the tone for this deeply personal chapter in Hood’s artistic evolution.
