Brazen Barbie brings boldness and bounce to the forefront with her new single “Ain’t No Dummy,” released alongside a colorful music video. The track offers a first taste of her upcoming mixtape BRAZEN, arriving August 1.
Overflowing with sharp lyricism and dynamic beats, the song blends R&B, hip hop, and rap in a playful yet commanding style. Created with producers MixedByDaniel and David Arcade, the track showcases Barbie’s distinctive voice and creative approach.
“Ain’t No Dummy is about knowing better and still doing it anyway, but on your terms,” she explains. “It’s playful and a bit messy… being petty but self-aware.” 
The accompanying video, directed by NBreezy, leans into visual contradictions. “It’s playful, hyper feminine, super dolled up… looks can be deceiving.”
The mixtape BRAZEN is set to feature 12 tracks, reflecting different moods and perspectives. “BRAZEN is a self portrait,” says Brazen Barbie. “The themes… are self worth, resilience, power, and owning every part of myself.”
Having previously appeared at SXSW, BIGSOUND, and more, and following a series of viral singles like “CHECK” and “DON’T TALK,” Barbie’s creative force is undeniable. “It’s one of those tracks that just feels alive,” she says of her latest single. “I’ve had it on repeat since I recorded it.”
