Bonnie McKee drops Bombastic (Play Hard Edition) July 4 with new “Easy” remix and summer tour.
Bonnie McKee is reigniting the pop spark of her cult-favorite Bombastic EP with a fiery new release. Bombastic (Play Hard Edition) arrives July 4, marking the 10th anniversary of the EP that became a staple among pop aficionados around the world.
McKee previewed the updated collection with a fresh remix of “Easy” by Dreamkid, injecting synth-driven energy into the beloved track. Originally released in June 2015 as an independent project, Bombastic has since achieved millions of streams and earned high-profile syncs, including HBO’s Girls and the upcoming Rebel Wilson-led Bride Hard trailer.
Fans can stream the “Easy” (Dreamkid Remix) now and pre-save the full EP ahead of its official release. McKee continues her independent, hands-on approach to creative work, evident once again in her recent directorial debut at the Tribeca Film Festival, where her video for “Forever 21” from her Hot City project was selected in the Music Video category.
McKee will also bring her catalog on tour this summer as she joins Kiesza on the Dancing and Crying Tour. The tour begins August 5 in Pittsburgh and wraps on September 27 at LA’s El Rey Theatre. Tickets are available now via bonniemckee.com.
From writing for icons to carving her path as a performer, Bonnie McKee’s journey comes full circle with Bombastic (Play Hard Edition)—a nostalgic celebration of pop excess and resilience that proves some tracks never go out of style.
