Bella Renee brings an emotionally charged edge to the Drum & Bass scene with the release of her new EP, ‘NOISE & THE THRILL’, out now on Dim Mak. The five-track project isn’t just a showcase of production mastery—it’s a personal excavation of emotional milestones and self-awareness.
Anchored by lead single “Till It Breaks”, the EP leans into gritty basslines, searing percussion, and Renee’s fierce vocals. It opens with a meditation on limits—emotional and physical. “It’s a reminder that if we push ourselves far enough, we do break,” she says. “My dad sings in the background of this song and it’s the one that really resonates with me the deepest.”
From “Jaded”, which explores ambition’s lonely cost, to “Reverie”, a response to doubt and disillusionment in the industry, each track dives deep into a distinct experience. “It is ugly, but it is a deep celestial light work,” Bella says of Reverie.
The EP continues with “Mirage”, a track rooted in healing and emotional restraint, and closes with “Live Wire”, which examines anxious attachment and the quest for clarity. “Nothing in this universe is permanent,” she reflects.
