Amber Mark delivers soul and groove with her new single “Sweet Serotonin,” teasing her second album.
Amber Mark introduces her upcoming sophomore album with a captivating lead single, “Sweet Serotonin.” Released via PMR / Interscope Records, the track marks a stylistic turn from the more dancefloor-centric Loosies EP, returning instead to a soulful, seductive sound that defines much of Mark’s artistry.
“Sweet Serotonin” delivers a mellow yet magnetic energy, with lush production that wraps itself around Mark’s evocative vocals. The lyrics open directly: “I’ll say this really clear now: Yeah, I want you, baby.” It’s a line that sets the tone — confident, intimate, and inviting.
Layered atop a warm bassline, crunchy drums, and smooth keys, the track oozes retro elegance while maintaining modern appeal. As Mark sings, “You talking sweet, you talking sly now / You giving me that sugar high now,” her performance balances restraint with charm, leaving just enough space for anticipation.
The track lands just ahead of her return to North American stages. After performing back-to-back sets at Sabrina Carpenter’s BST Hyde Park weekender on July 5 and 6, Mark is set to join the fall leg of Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour. The tour includes five nights at Madison Square Garden and six at LA’s Crypto.com Arena, with additional shows in Pittsburgh, Nashville, and Toronto.
“Sweet Serotonin” offers a compelling preview of what’s to come as Mark readies her second full-length project — blending her signature sound with new emotional depth and sonic clarity.
