With the countdown to UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 underway, UK music collective Alternative Influence returns with a timely and passionate release: “Time 4 Her to Shine.” The single stands as a celebration of the growing influence of women’s football and lands alongside two dynamic music videos capturing the excitement of England’s February victory over Spain at Wembley.
Featuring actual match footage of the Lionesses and real fan reactions along Wembley Way, the visuals showcase the inclusive, joyful spirit of the women’s game. Families, children, and supporters of all backgrounds are shown in contrast to the often combative tone of the men’s game—highlighting a cultural shift in the sport.
“I’ve been following the women’s game since 2016, ” says lead vocalist Lee Devenport. “The national team’s success has inspired more domestic clubs, and now grassroots football features just as many junior girls’ teams as boys’ – it’s part of the football fabric now.”
The campaign supporting the release is equally ambitious. During the England vs. Belgium match on April 4th at Ashton Gate, 4,000 promotional cards were distributed to fans. In addition, the band continues to support the game at all levels by sponsoring Radcliffe Women FC in the North West Women’s League Division 1.
