Indie-pop talent Aidan Bissett returns with “2 much 2 handle” and reveals fall tour dates.

Aidan Bissett unveils his newest single, “2 much 2 handle,” a vibrant and rhythmically charged preview of his debut album shut up and love me, set for release July 25 via Capitol Records. The rising singer-songwriter pushes his indie-pop sound into genre-defying territory with a track rooted in the tension of new romantic excitement.

With lyrics steeped in personal reflection and playful honesty, Bissett explores the moment when desire becomes almost too intense to bear. “On the table I was kissing your mouth, was it too much to handle?” he asks over upbeat instrumentation. “Told your daddy that I slept on the couch, but he’s smart enough to figure it out.”

Speaking about the inspiration, Bissett notes: “This one feels like a stop-and-go rollercoaster. It captures the feeling of hitting your highest peaks and your lowest lows. It’s about anticipation — you’re going up and up, but the fall never happens.” The accompanying visualizer cleverly mirrors this suspended motion, showing Bissett walking on a conveyor belt as life flows past him.

“2 much 2 handle” follows the earlier release of “ricochet,” a track examining toxic relationships, and the retro-leaning “are we in love yet?” All three songs appear on shut up and love me.

To support the album, Bissett has announced a North American headlining tour starting September 14 in San Diego, with stops in key cities including New York and Los Angeles. General ticket sales begin May 16 at 10AM local.
