Rising alt-pop star Adrian Lyles shares his latest single, “King of Everything,” an emotionally raw and introspective track that explores self-doubt and inner competition. Released today via Hollywood Records, the single highlights Adrian’s stripped-back production and heartfelt delivery, offering a personal yet universally resonant message.
“‘King of Everything’ is my definition of self-reflection,” Adrian explains. “The entire song is about constantly competing with yourself in everything you do, to a level that could become unhealthy.” Co-written with Sissy Smith and produced by Lenii, the track dives into Adrian’s deepest anxieties, expressed through vulnerable lyrics like, “Ghost town, no calls, no sound, they’ll all bow out when they’re getting sick of chasing.”
At just 20 years old, Adrian’s music captures a maturity and authenticity that resonate with listeners across generations. This single follows 2024’s “Somewhere To Go” and “Formalize Me” and continues to establish Adrian’s signature blend of indie pop and hip-hop influences.
Kicking off his first North American tour, Adrian joins almost monday on their DIVE Tour, beginning with a sold-out show tonight in Salt Lake City. The tour will visit major cities like New York and Washington, D.C., before concluding in Los Angeles on February 22. Additionally, Adrian partners with Roland to debut their innovative V-STAGE 88 keyboard at NAMM, becoming the first artist to incorporate it into a live tour.
