Wolf Alice return with ‘The Clearing’ | Their most emotionally vivid and sonically ambitious album to date

Wolf Alice step into a new era with their fourth studio album, The Clearing, now available via RCA Records. With a decade-spanning journey of musical evolution behind them, the band delivers a cohesive body of work that blends nostalgic textures with modern emotion, proving their mastery of atmosphere, storytelling, and sonic scale.

Anchored by the focus track “Just Two Girls”, the album captures a moment of personal insight and connection. Vocalist Ellie Rowsell shares the inspiration behind the song: “I was inspired by going for dinner with my friends — a couple of friends, at different times, just one-on-one. I noticed how much I was saying Oh my god yeah you’re so right! And I thought it was so nice to see how validating these conversations with my girlfriends are…” The song becomes a celebration of friendship, self-discovery, and supportive conversations that reframe our own insecurities.

Recorded in LA with Greg Kurstin, The Clearing spans heartfelt lyricism and musical experimentation. From the elegant sweep of “White Horses” to the grounded honesty of “The Sofa”, the record moves through emotional highs and quiet reflections. Each track tells a unique story while building toward a collective sense of growth and arrival.

To mark the release, Wolf Alice hosted a special celebration at The Dublin Castle in Camden, followed by a fan-focused pop-up. Their televised performance of “Bloom Baby Bloom” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! added an electrifying broadcast moment to the week.

The Clearing reaffirms Wolf Alice’s place as a leading force in UK alternative music—full of clarity, purpose, and emotional truth.
