‘GOD IS A DJ’ drops with CRAY, fierce club energy and a church rave video, hear the concept and see the story unfold.

Dani Thorne and CRUNCHi introduce ‘GOD IS A DJ’, a club statement built on industrial Techno tension. The record surges on heavy kick drums and layers of underground grit, while a hypnotic vocal by CRAY threads the pulse from first bar to last. With a witty, sultry spirit and a hardstyle infused edge, the track salutes the father, son and Holy Rave, then dissolves the border between sacred and profane, placing the scene on a dark, sweaty floor where the DJ is framed as divine, and feminine. The narrative carries into the screen, where the music video trails three girls as they slip into an underground rave inside a run down church.

Dani Thorne shares; “When Cray came up with the line “God is a DJ”, we knew right away that’s the theme we were going to run with. While the instrumental had been done and played out by Crunchi and I months before, when the writing session started with Cray, a whole new theme was born and we knew we wanted to revisit the production to hone in on this idea of GOD IS A DJ. Which to be honest, is very in line with how it feels to be in the dark, sweaty underground with 100s of like-minded strangers, dancing and expressing ourselves freely. The rave is our version of church, and we connect through music.”

The rollout frames sound, story, and film in one line, the production leans into raw intensity, the lyrics and delivery double down on the sacred rave idea, and the church location on screen ties the concept into a single image. The creators underline the point with a simple closing line in the press note, a reminder that the record functions as both a floor mover and a flag for the scene. It is a focused statement that invites listeners to step inside the same room the video depicts, where community and release meet under the lights.

It’s clear that “GOD IS A DJ” is both a banger and a mantra.
