Luke Combs releases “Back In The Saddle” with a music video starring Dale Jr. and Richard Petty.

Luke Combs is officially back in the spotlight with his much-anticipated new single, “Back In The Saddle,” released via all major platforms today. Accompanying the song is a star-powered music video directed by Tyler Adams, which features NASCAR icons Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Richard Petty—an homage that reflects Combs’ Southern roots and love for American tradition.

Speaking about the project, Combs shared: “So much work goes into making these songs, so much time we spend making them, from the studio writing them to the videos. I got to make the video with Dale Jr. and Richard Petty, which is a total dream come true. My grandpa would be rolling over in his grave in a good way if he knew that I got to hang out with Richard Petty and Dale Jr.”

Written alongside Dan Isbell and Jonathan Singleton, and produced by Combs, Singleton and Chip Matthews, the song contributes to what’s already a milestone year for the global country superstar. With recent appearances at Bonnaroo and JazzFest under his belt, Combs is set to make history yet again as the first country artist to headline both Lollapalooza and Newport Folk Festival this year.

The release comes off the heels of Combs’ critically acclaimed album Fathers & Sons, praised by NPR and The Wall Street Journal for its vulnerability and warm songwriting. As accolades continue to pile up—including RIAA certifications, GRAMMY nods, and genre-spanning collaborations—“Back In The Saddle” reaffirms Combs’ dominance in both country and mainstream music landscapes.
