Noga Erez unveils “WATCH THE NEWS,” a charged new single critiquing the modern media spectacle.
Alt-pop innovator Noga Erez is back with a powerful new single, “WATCH THE NEWS,” out now via Neon Gold/Atlantic Records. Following her previous track “Not My Problem,” this latest release further signals the beginning of a bold new era in her sonic evolution.
Produced by Noga Erez alongside Ori Rousso and Itamar Loebstein, the track takes sharp aim at how today’s news has become increasingly performative and emotionally manipulative. Erez explains:
“After tuning out the news (for a very long time) to protect my peace of mind, I gave in—and tuned back in. What I saw wasn’t journalism; it was performance. It was loud and dramatic… It made me think: what if news consumption today is closer to addiction than awareness?”
Erez uses her signature mix of glitchy electronics, rhythmic tension, and biting commentary to dissect the way media plays on public attention. Her delivery is urgent, her production intentionally jarring — a musical representation of the psychological spiral she critiques.
The release of “WATCH THE NEWS” comes ahead of a major 2025 North American headline tour, which begins September 23rd at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Several shows, including stops in New York and Los Angeles, have already sold out.
With a resume that includes performances at global festivals and collaborations with Missy Elliott, Noga Erez continues to defy expectations. This single is another reminder of her fearless artistry and relentless commentary on modern life.
