Robin Cisek returns with the official music video for her alt-pop track “Rumor”, a self-produced visual that speaks directly to the emotional toll of online hate and misinformation. Entirely conceptualized, filmed, and edited by the artist herself, the video serves as a bold and empowering response to digital harassment.
In this intimate yet thought-provoking video, Cisek explores the personal effects of false narratives that spread online. Using a simple yet potent image — a phone held over her mouth with lips onscreen mimicking her lyrics — she demonstrates how voices can be twisted or taken away by others online.
“This video is my way of taking back control and reclaiming my identity,” says Cisek. “So many people hide behind their devices, spreading rumours and tearing people down without any accountability. I wanted to turn that painful experience into something that feels empowering — something that reminds others that they’re not alone.”
“Rumor” is featured on her sophomore album Tempered, which was released independently on May 30. Written entirely by Cisek and produced largely from her home studio, the album is a showcase of her growth as both a vocalist and a producer.
