Grace Potter releases “Medicine”, a long-shelved T Bone Burnett-produced album via Hollywood Records.
Grace Potter returns with Medicine, a previously unreleased body of work produced by the legendary T Bone Burnett. Out now via Hollywood Records, the album is streaming on all major platforms and comes with a new music video for the title track.
Medicine was originally recorded in 2008 at The Village Studios and was never officially released — until now. “I remember being in the studio with T Bone and feeling like this was everything I’d been waiting for,” says Potter. “It never occurred to me that the album might not get released, but I’m at peace with the fact that it’s taken this long.”
This release adds a rich new layer to Potter’s musical legacy, with songs that dive into themes of self-salvation, desire, and emotional evolution. The sessions included musical greats like Jim Keltner, Dennis Crouch, Marc Ribot, and Keefus Ciancia.
Potter’s recent activity also includes a striking performance of the National Anthem at the Kentucky Derby and a forthcoming appearance on Live! With Kelly and Mark. As her long-lost project finally sees daylight, Medicine feels like a revelation that was worth the wait.
