SOFI TUKKER release ‘butter,’ a Brazilian jazz-inspired album featuring Seu Jorge, Liniker, The Knocks & more.

SOFI TUKKER returns with a fresh sonic journey on their new album butter, now available via all streaming platforms. A smooth, genre-bending companion to their 2024 release BREAD, the record offers a deep dive into Brazilian music culture, reimagining past tracks with organic instrumentation and intimate new arrangements.

Produced by Latin GRAMMY winner Marcio Arantes and recorded entirely in Brazil, butter reflects SOFI TUKKER’s longtime love for Brazilian sounds. “When Tuck and I started the band, he promised me that one day I would return to Brazil more meaningfully, and it happened with the making of this album,” shares Sophie Hawley-Weld.

The project features notable collaborations with Seu Jorge, Rael, Silva, MC Bola & DJ Gao, The Knocks, Channel Tres, Liniker, and more. Their latest single “Intensity” with Liniker follows the standout “Bread (butter version)” featuring Seu Jorge. Both tracks showcase the album’s rich acoustic textures and reinterpreted arrangements.

The group has also launched a docuseries on the album’s creation, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at its Brazilian roots. butter will be performed live at the prestigious Newport Jazz Festival on August 1, where SOFI TUKKER will present a special set tailored to this jazz-infused project.

Moving from electronic beats to melodic samba and bossa nova influences, butter is a testament to the duo’s range and artistic evolution.
