PinkPantheress releases “Illegal” video and new mixtape Fancy That, sampling Underworld with late-night energy.

British sensation PinkPantheress returns with her highly anticipated sophomore mixtape Fancy That, out now via Warner Records UK. In conjunction with the release, she’s dropped a striking visual for “Illegal,” a standout track that reimagines Underworld’s classic “Dark and Long (Dark Train)” into a garage-tinged dreamscape.

Directed by Ethan & Tom, the “Illegal” video stars PinkPantheress and actor Sekou Diaby (Boarders) in a surreal narrative. The visual opens with a quiet conversation before plunging viewers into a vividly animated tartan world. Within it, PinkPantheress becomes both muse and escape for the dreamer, offering a glimpse into a world of desire and imagination.

PinkPantheress says, “‘Illegal’ feels like coming home, it’s garage, gritty, and takes me right back to where I started with music. I’ve always loved that raw, late-night energy, and sampling Underworld felt like the perfect way to tap into that spirit while making it my own.”

Fancy That brings her anti-pop sensibilities to the forefront with contributions from producers including aksel arvid, Count Baldor, phil, Oscar Scheller, and The Dare. Known for her blend of British cultural references and kitsch-y sonic aesthetics, the 9-track project includes previous singles “Tonight,” “Stateside,” and “Illegal.”

She adds, “This project is all about feeling the music in your body… It’s raw, fun, and completely movement-driven and I’m so excited to share it.”
