Laura Pieri shares new single “Flown Away” and announces expanded ‘Frankie On The Dancefloor’ EP out May 30.
Pop singer-songwriter Laura Pieri is soaring into a new chapter with the release of her latest single “Flown Away,” setting the stage for Frankie On The Dancefloor, an expanded edition of her 2024 EP Frankie. Scheduled for release on May 30th, the new project will feature “Flown Away” alongside four remixes that continue to build on her evolving soundscape.
Originally conceived during the Frankie sessions, “Flown Away” finally finds its moment. Pieri shares, “For a while, she was a misfit. Sonically, she didn’t quite fit with the rest of the project. But stepping away gave me the space to reimagine her. Frankie’s story wasn’t over yet, and ‘Flown Away’ felt like the perfect way to keep her spirit alive while pushing the sound forward.”
The new track highlights Pieri’s shift toward more dance-driven influences. Reflecting on this turn, she adds, “I love a more traditional pop sound, but lately, I just want to move and dance. Leaving this song tucked away never felt right, and now feels like the moment to let her fly.”
Frankie initially introduced listeners to a narrative of resilience and empowerment, accompanied by a striking short film. Co-written with an all-female team and executive produced by Skyler Cocco, it solidified Pieri’s position as an artist determined to make her voice heard. Based between New York and Los Angeles, Pieri continues to blend her Brazilian roots with contemporary pop energy, captivating audiences globally.
