Snoop Dogg has dropped his long-awaited album Missionary, produced entirely by Dr. Dre. Released via Death Row, Aftermath, and Interscope, the project is their first collaborative album since the 1994 classic Doggystyle.
For Snoop, Missionary is his 20th studio album, a monumental achievement in a career that has shaped the rap genre and pop culture for decades. This album not only celebrates their legacy but also marks a fresh chapter for Snoop and Dre, one of the most iconic duos in music history.
Ahead of the album’s release, fans were treated to standout singles, including “Outta Da Blue” featuring Alus, “Another Part of Me” with Sting, and “Gorgeous” featuring Jhené Aiko. “Gorgeous” debuted at No. 29 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, signifying Snoop and Dre’s triumphant return to the chart after 13 years. The duo also teased the album during a live episode of Drink Champs at ComplexCon, generating even more excitement.
Reflecting on his work with Dre, Snoop shared, “We [still] in love with what we do. I’m peaking right now and Dr. Dre see that. He brings the best out of me because he’s particular about everything I say, the way I deliver it, the fuckin’ music and the concept of the songs.”
