Multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and producer Trevor Daniel reveals new pop anthem ‘SYL’ via Alamo Records/RCA Records
From writing and producing the track to designing and shooting the artwork, the single is a full embodiment of Trevor’s creativity. Accompanying the release of “SYL” is its music video. Directed by Trevor, the video follows him as he drives across Los Angeles one night, bathed in a wash of neon signs and city lights.
Trevor says: “To me, this record is special – it’s about finding myself and finally being true to that version of me that maybe I’ve suppressed for a while.” “I felt like it was easier if I personified it because a part of this whole realization came from me not feeling good enough for other people’s expectations. So, I had some backstory to work with. Since this was so personal, I felt the need to dive back into producing, lock myself in a room, and enjoy making something from scratch alone again. Being hands-on with this record and the entire album that’s coming is my number one priority since there’s no better way to express myself through music outside of diving into every detail.”
Marking the next step in his sonic evolution, Trevor broke out onto the scene with his 4x platinum-certified single “Falling,”which hit #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 at Pop Radio. Now clocking over 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, in 2022 Trevor joined forces with electronic producer Alan Walker for their collaborative single “Extremes,” off Walker’s latest album Walkerverse Pt. I & II.
