Swedish singer and songwriter Tove Styrke drops a brand new single ‘Hardcore’ from her upcoming new album ‘Hard’
On her new single Hardcore, Tove sings in her most dramatic way so far, in a track produced and co-written by Max Martin’s young protégé Elvira Anderfjärd (Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran) and Jakob Jerlström (Tove Lo, Lorde).
Tove says: “Hardcore is definitely one of my favorite tracks on the album. It’s about wanting someone hardcore. I took the term from gaming, if you die you die but it’s all in. I also wanted to make the track sound drunk, like when you’re lost in a person. That’s why we made the temposhifts before each chorus. The production is so good on this one, it blows my mind.”
Alongside new single Hardcore, Tove also announces the release her fourth album HARD on June 3rd
Tove has embarked on multiple headline tours, made SXSW appearances, performed on Late Night with Seth Meyers, and has received vocal support from artist peers such as Sam Smith, Tove Lo, and Shawn Mendes. She has also released several collaborations including Cheat Codes & Travis Baker (“All Things $ Can Do”), ALMA (“Good Vibes”), NOTD (“Been There Done That”), Clean Bandit (“Last Goodbye”), and Lost Kings (“Stuck”).
Tove also adds: “I’m releasing my fourth album – ’HARD’. It’s been in the making for years and I’ve decided it’s time to finish it up now and release it. Life, feelings, bodies. Everything’s hard. I can’t wait to show you this music!”
