Hot on the heels of her latest release ‘Reflect In Mirrors’, Tia Carys reveals her brand new debut EP ‘ENROOT‘
The new debut EP ‘EnRoot‘ from the rising R&B star is a solid 5-track collection that speaks directly to the challenges young people face growing up: everything from friendships and relationships to self-harm, social media, and sexuality. Set to a soundtrack of rap, hip-hop, R&B, and drill, it solidifies Tia’s talent and showcases her range, emotion, and prowess.
Tia shares about the new EP: “Overcoming the journey of trials and tribulations from my teenage years, I’ve penned my discovery of blessings, lessons & roots from this challenging chapter which I know my amazing supporters can identify with one way or another.“
Earlier this month she also shares Reflect In Mirrors, which sees Tia as her most reflective, dealing with the complexities that often come with the end of a relationship, life events, and changes in the midst of your teenage years. The video directed by MOBO nominee Otis Dominique (Jorja Smith, Kojjey Radical) is bold, and links strongly back to the message in the song:
In September the rising star already released another hot single ‘Intro‘ featured along with official music.
Tia released her heavily supported breakout single ‘English x Ghana’ late last year, in which Carys spoke on her mixed-race identity and connecting with her Ghanaian heritage.
