Rising soul artist Taloula releases a new single ‘Find My Way‘ anticipating debut EP out on 17th December
Candidly written in her bedroom two years ago, the melodic and soulful ballad yields a brave tribute to letting go of fears and finding inner peace. The matched beat is met with understated R&B influences, as Taloula’s majestic vocal range and confident flow takes centre stage.
Taloula says: “I wanted to write about how you can get lost by making a lot of sacrifices and compromises. It’s not easy to find your own way through life, especially if you don’t know who you are anymore. Even if it’s good or bad, nothing matters but trusting your instinct and your inner peace. I had lost so much confidence in myself and I felt drained, this song really came from the soul.”
Featuring production by multi-instrumentalist Linden Jay (Sinead Harnett, Doja Cat), The Evolution of Taloula is a cohesive 5-track project written over several years, and sees Taloula explore identity and strength on her journey of self-discovery.
As the daughter of a professional singer with Yemenite roots, Taloula grew up around music before she was even born, and taught herself to play the guitar and piano from the age of 12.
Now living in London, Taloula decided to shift completely and come back to her musical roots. ‘Find My Way’ reflects the next phase of Taloula’s journey, an artist deciding to take back control of her life and reinvent herself.
