Where are you from?
From Los Angeles, California
When did you start making music?
“I’ve always been musically inclined my whole entire life, but did not start recording my own songs until 2016.
How do you describe your music?
Anybody who listens to my music is for sure a simp. Either that or they just like to vibe. I like my music to be chill. Something you can listen to on a long drive home.
Favorite moment from your career?
Releasing my first album “Vacayomo”. This was big for me because I was able to put together something for everyone who has tuned in to all my singles. I really didn’t want to disappoint and I am happy with the feedback I am getting so far.
Who is your biggest musical inspiration?
My biggest musical inspiration is probably Chief Keef. Believe it or not. His music gets me hyped and makes me focus on things that really matter in life. When I put on some Sosa I’m like “yup I need to get in this studio and make some heat”. When it comes to a particular style then of course Drake. That whole Toronto R&B vibe goes crazy. It’s definitely the style I like to rock with and what I feel most comfortable creating. I like creating music that gets you in your feelings, but still hits.
What is your producing software?
We are a logic gang on this side, but then I move everything over to Pro Tools so I can finish mixing and mastering.
What other things do you do besides making music?
If I am not making my own music then I am recording someone else, or mixing someone else’s music. My life pretty much revolves around music now, and I love it. I like to play 2k every now and then, but pretty much just chillin with some music is my vibe
What is your favorite track of all time?
This question is super hard, because it depends on my mood. But I can 100% tell you my favorite Drake track is “Come Thru”. That’s my jam, and I sing it to warm up my vocals all the time.
What is your best-producing tip?
“Do what sounds good”
Why did you start making music?
I was in my feelings and didn’t know how else to take my mind off of what I was feeling. It was like a form of self reflection and then the music just turned out to be fire so I kinda fell in love with it.
What are your goals for the future?
I want to go on tour and sing my songs with a whole stadium of simps where they sing my shit word for word. I’ve always dreamt of that
What advice can you give for young music producers/DJs?
Love the process, and don’t create to compete
