Rina Sawayama bring us the new hot deluxe edition of her album ‘SAWAYAMA‘ and announces UK tour dates
With the special release of the deluxe edition, Rina also announces rescheduled UK tour dates and will share her extended reality video for new single ‘LUCID’ at 6 pm tonight.
The new release follows from Rina Sawayama’s latest single release LUCID and her debut late-night TV performance of her hit single XS on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as well as the announcement of her biggest show to date at London’s Roundhouse in November 2021.
The deluxe album is an extension of Rina’s most personal body of work yet, featuring fan favourites XS ft Bree Runway, Comme Des Garons (Like The Boys) – Pabllo Vittar Remix, and cover The 1975’s Love it If We Made It alongside previously unreleased tracks; We Out Here which highlights resilience and being true to yourself whilst Bees & Honey serves future nostalgia and emphasises the need to celebrate hard work.
Rina is also sharing an extended reality video for the BloodPop-produced LUCID. The visual, shot at MARS Studio in London earlier this year, is the perfect counter-part to the kaleidoscope track, with the singer navigating an ever-changing virtual dreamscape.
The team at MARS have used some of the most innovative technology to create the unique extended reality world for Rina to explore in the video.
The deluxe album will feature production from the likes of Clarence Clarity (Exec producer along with Rina) and co-write from Nicole Morier (Britney Spears) and Kyle Shearer (Carly Rae Jepsen). Rina’s debut album has been recognised in prestigious end of year round-ups including The Line of Best, Rough Trade, NPR, The Skinny and more.
