Emerging pop star Rachel Grae returns with new emotional single ‘Daughter’
Emotional single “Daughter” is out today with a touching video featuring footage of Rachel’s fans with their moms, as well as her own mom’s reaction to the song (full reaction video on TikTok).
Rachel says: “I thought this would be the best way I could show her without just telling her. I didn’t really know how to put it into words until I sat down to write. That was my first time ever crying while writing a song.”
To give all her fans’ moms their flowers, Rachel’s website will feature a running montage of all of the photos & videos fans submitted for the video, as well as a Spotify canvas that will play different fan-submitted clips every day for the first month of release.
This follows Grae’s previous ripped-from-her-diary songs like “Colorblind,” “Right Person Right Time,” “Love I’ve Been Jealous Of” and “How Dare You,” performed for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and featured on the season finale of Love Island UK.
Her listeners are up by 1,543% and fanbase by over 180% in the last 9 months, out-streaming all of her peers. She connects with people every day through TikTok & beyond, helping them through personal issues, leaking new songs they help shape and finally doing what she loves.
She’s signed to FrtyFve, a London-based record label that transforms viral moments into long term music careers (Todrick Hall, Megan McKenna). She’s worked with the likes of Brandon Colbein (Zayn Malik, Khelani, Liam Payne, Bea Miller), Nick Lopez (Demi Lovato), Dave Gibson (Bruno Mars, Liam Payne), Edd Holloway (Lewis Capaldi, James Bay), & Justin Gemmella (Bella Poarch), and will continue to release new music in the coming months.
