Rising star Rachel Foxx join forces with Joss Ryan on a new collaborative EP ‘Never Say Never’
The Three-track release opens with the infectious UKG grooves of ‘Show Me Your Love’, with Rachel’s slick vocals paired with a captivating, futuristic 2-step production. With a nostalgic bassline, ‘Love Me For The Last Time’ is a smooth number laced with more old school elements, with Rachel’s emotion-tinged vocals taking center-stage alongside classic horns over the hook. Closing things out, ‘Walk On By’ is the grittiest track on the project, with a thumping bass that incorporates elements of grime in the production.
Rachel says about the EP, “’Never Say Never’ was a concept that came about so naturally,” Rachel explains. “I record so much stuff with Joss either at the studio or at his house and I just leave my vocals with him and Joss just does his thing. I had fun making this project, I really wanted that fun summer feeling back with this one, it’s quite nostalgic and reminds me of school days.” Inspiration to create the project was sparked after Joss’ remix for Rachel’s single ‘Progress’ last year which features Grime artist Capo Lee. The UKG-influenced remix gained traction online, leading to the pair’s exploration of the genre’s sounds, displayed across this 3-track package.
