Patrick Luna releases ‘+ Romántico Que Bélico,’ a romantic EP blending modern love songs with regional Mexican music. Listen now.
Emerging Mexican artist Patrick Luna has officially released his debut EP, ‘+ Romántico Que Bélico,’ now streaming on all platforms. The EP, which beautifully intertwines themes of romance and realism, captures Luna’s personal experiences and highlights his commitment to representing Mexico’s rich musical tradition.
‘+ Romántico Que Bélico’ showcases Luna’s ability to weave heartfelt stories into regional Mexican music. Songs like “Vulnerable” reveal his emotional openness, with lyrics like “porque soy vulnerable, puedes herirme, pero me quedaré” (I’m vulnerable, and you can hurt me, but I will stay) delivering a message of both strength and fragility. Meanwhile, the bolero-inspired “Carrusel” captivates with its enchanting instrumental backdrop.
Luna adds his own regional flair to Prince Royce’s hit “Corazón Sin Cara,” swapping the bachata rhythm for a vibrant requinto melody. Other tracks, like “De Antes,” highlight a pop-inspired approach, while “Me Cuesta Tanto” and “El Malo” explore the raw emotions of heartbreak with a thoughtful authenticity.
Speaking about the project, Patrick Luna shares: “This project reflects my essence: to be faithful to my songwriting and to the experiences I have lived. While I admire other styles, my approach is different. I want to represent Mexico in an authentic way, showing a more personal and genuine side.”
With ‘+ Romántico Que Bélico,’ Patrick Luna emerges as a promising voice in music, blending timeless themes with a modern sensibility that honors his roots.
