London-based afrofusion talent PapaRaZzle returns with his much-anticipated sophomore album, Do You Believe In Soulmates? (Vol 1), a reflective, cinematic work released on September 26. Coming off the back of surpassing half a million monthly listeners on Spotify this year, the rising artist has crafted a project that questions destiny, connection, and the complexities of love.

Entirely self-written and recorded in his home studio, this body of work was born from late-night voice notes and personal experience. Deeply introspective yet sonically expansive, the album fuses nostalgic ’90s R&B and afrosoul with vibrant afrobeats, offering a rich musical journey. Throughout the project, PapaRaZzle uses storytelling not just as a vehicle for emotion but as the foundation of his sound.

From the slow-burning opener ‘Feelings Everytime’ to the emotionally grounded ‘You And Me’, the album’s chapters unfold like a love story. Tracks like ‘The Wait’ and ‘Until The End’ dive into themes of distance and commitment, while others like ‘Oxygen’ and ‘Healer’ speak to healing and spiritual connection. The lighter moments arrive through the playful ‘Baby Blue Jeans’ and the heartfelt ‘Pick You Up From Work’. Closing with ‘Guns And Roses’, PapaRaZzle pays tribute to all soulmates—romantic or otherwise.

With contributions from trusted collaborators including J4F4R, Jaemally Beatz, HBeat Pro, Nahz Rashid, and Kryptian Icon, the album maintains a close-knit creative energy. The result is an evocative fusion of tropical instrumentation, atmospheric textures, and narrative songwriting.

Speaking about the album’s emotional foundation, PapaRaZzle shares, “the album is inspired by the belief that connections between people can run deeper than circumstance… A soulmate isn’t always about romance, sometimes it’s about the people who anchor you, push you, or arrive in your life at exactly the right time.”

On the sound of the project, he adds, “I wanted the sound to feel both cinematic and intimate, the kind of music that can soundtrack a late-night drive, a deep conversation, or a quiet moment of reflection.”

‘Do You Believe In Soulmates? (Vol 1)’ is a poetic testament to love, resilience, and the mysterious force of human connection.
