Pabllo Vittar is back with a brand new single ‘Ama Sofre Chora’ from her forthcoming album
After being grounded with the rest of the world by the COVID-19 pandemic in her hometown of Uberlândia, Vittar became deeply immersed at home in the sounds of her rich Brazilian heritage. The love-soaked ballad pulls sonic inspiration from her cultural past but with an aim to usher the influences into her meteoric rise across international borders to the global pop stratosphere.
In tandem with the single, ‘Ama Sofre Chora,’ Pabllo Vittar is releasing a stunning C☆NDY cover shoot, a publication by Luis Venegas celebrating “the transversal universe,” which has previously been graced by the likes of icons such as Arca, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, and more.
The otherworldly shoot was fittingly captured across four countries simultaneously with fashion director Nicola Formichetti in Los Angeles, creative director Bryan Huynh in Toronto, 3D artist Rodolfo Hernández in Mexico City, and photographer Ernna Cost in São Paulo. Vittar laughs in appreciation, saying, “There is no one creating visuals like theirs; especially during a pandemic when you can’t leave your home, they are able to truly transport you to different worlds.”
Together, the team consciously carved an imaginary realm—a reflection of her new, ‘Ama Sofre Chora,’ musical era, where she is able to live freely, beyond any confines in both past, present, and future.
