Afro-fusion collective NSG gives us a little taste of upcoming EP ‘Headliner‘ with new single ‘Only God Can Judge Me‘ featuring MIST
Recently announcing their upcoming ROOTS AFRICA TOUR next month with dates in Zambia, Kenya, Ghana and Nigeria and being nominated for ‘Best African Act’ at the upcoming MOBO Awards where they are also set to perform – the release of ‘Only God Can Judge Me’ along with its must-see visual (directed by Kevin Hudson and NSG’s Kruddz) and the forthcoming release of their just-announced 3-track ‘Headliner’ EP on December 9th will see NSG closing 2021 with a bang.
NSG shares, “It’s exactly what it says on the tin. There are things we do behind closed doors, and there are some things we are brave enough to do freely, but at the end of the day it’s only baba God who can judge all of us, but for now this is the NSG way. The area boy way.”
Building on their runaway 2020 successes – including the pinnacle summer release of the mixtape ‘Roots’ which NME described as a project that ‘lives up to their chart-topping reputation’, making history as the first act to hit the #1 spot on the Official Afrobeats Chart, winning ‘Visual of the Year’ at the return of the MOBOs, as well as the impactful launch of staple The Area Bar in Accra, Ghana – NSG continue to strive to shine in their own lane, while pushing forward the Afro-inspired cultural scene they have passionately helped to pioneer.
NSG say ‘we’re not looking at a United Kingdom thing, we’re looking at a global thing.’ – and with more new music set to be released next month and much more to come in 2022, they are well on their way!
