Nonô – “Loco Gotta Let Go”
New Music – out now
With upbeat melodies and box-fresh production, this track glimmers and shines with Nonô’s own brand of signature pop. The track comes fresh off the back of the London-based Brazil native’s debut shows in London this Summer including Victorious Festival and Hoxton Bar and Kitchen, and her previous single Million Dollars. With a growing following of 167k on Instagram and over 2 million streams to date, Nonô is well on the way to becoming a new young artist to watch.
“I wanted to write about the delusions some people have after a relationship (romantic or not), when they don’t know when to let go and move on. They keep insisting on something that just doesn’t exist” – Nonô
Growing up in a big family in Brazil, Nonô’s listening taste pulls in many inspirations, from Seu Jorge, Funk Carioca and Bossa Nova/Samba, to Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Etta James, Daniel Caesar, Nina Simone and contemporaries like Eminem, D’Angelo and Chance The Rapper. Nonô moved to London for musical inspiration and it was a time when- she explains- “life got even more real. Everyday is a challenge- you always have to prove yourself, your worth, and have to know that it is difficult making it out here but you can’t let yourself be affected by these things. You always have to keep pushing forwards”.
Nonô launched into the contemporary music scene in 2018 with her debut cut Bite, which has racked up over 100k streams so far and the video reaching over 17k video views within a month. Nonô played a high energy debut headline show at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen in Spring 2019, leaving fans in a venue packed to the rafters wanting more. Nonô is currently in studios around the world honing her new music.
