Los Angeles singer-songwriter NERIAH shares new pop anthem ‘Expiration Date’ co-written by NERIAH, Willa Kaplan, and Nico Fabito
NERIAH’s latest track finds her in a state of lucidity as a relationship nears its end, as bright, jangly guitars and pulsing drums sweetly accompany her decisiveness.
NERIAH shares: “… If you have ever felt like you’ve been in a relationship that has a time limit, you’ll be able to relate to this song. Sometimes sparks fade and people that you thought you were good with, you eventually grow apart from. Not every breakup ends on a clean slate, at least you can choose to put yourself first.”
This single comes alongside the accompanying intergalactic video directed by Greg Lewis.
NERIAH also adds: “From the moment we found the set we knew this one was going to be very special. It’s not every day but I get to fall in love with an alien and a cup of noodles in the middle of a spaceship.”
Coming off of the release of her debut EP, This is How The World Made Me, NERIAH is channeling her natural-born need for storytelling by continuing to vulnerably share her innermost thoughts through song. Prior singles such as “Missing Somebody” premiered on Zane Lowe’s World Record show in June and have helped her grace the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds Pop Playlist. Born and raised between Los Angeles and Malibu, NERIAH is no newcomer to the local live music scene, previously headlining Peppermint Club, Badot, Madame Siam, and the Troubadour for a sold out show earlier this summer.
