6x Latin Grammy nominee Nathy Peluso is back with a brand new stunning version for Camilo Sesto’s “Vivir Así Es Morir De Amor”
‘VIVIR ASÍ ES MORIR DE AMOR’, showcasing a cinematic, psychedelic, technicolor battle sequence in an official visual. The 6x Latin Grammy nominee endorses the legendary composition with her display of continued artistic development and genre-versatility, reinterpreting the sound and key, and creative direction for the video, further proving her status as a leading artist in the international music scene.
Nathy shares “To be your own enemy without hardly realizing it.” After listening to the classic at a “crucial moment,” the Barcelona-based artist had a “revelation” to record ‘VIVIR ASÍ ES MORIR DE AMOR’ as a way to re-introduce the song to a modern-day music audience. “I wanted to convert the song to a 90s sound, calling in key musicians from the style and era, musicians that I admire, and have played on records that I have studied a lot.” Nathy “carefully crafted’ every detail on this re-make. “Singing the song and reinterpreting each instrument was unforgettable.” Nathy also recorded the vocals in one take, “I wanted to keep the essence of how voices were recorded decades ago.” Her creative direction for the video storyline in tandem with Iris Vallés adds to her ability to make the iconic song her own: “I was clear from the beginning about the character’s plastic and disruptive aesthetics. I imagined the space, the dimensions and the textures, and the colors. It was very clear to me from the beginning.”
