Dominican star Kiko El Crazy is taking over the Latin music scene with the release of his debut album ‘Llegó el Domi’ and a new single ‘Te Dóblate’ with Arcángel
The release is in tandem with the premiere of the video of the album’s focus track, “Te Dóblate,” with urban genre idol Arcángel. The new album is available on all digital and streaming platforms while the music video for “Te Dóblate” can be enjoyed on Kiko’s official YouTube channel.
Kiko explained: “The inspiration behind my debut album, “Llegó el Domi”, stems from the great acceptance that Dominicans have in the world right now. My mission is for the album to represent my culture and for every Dominican to feel it as their own. That is why each song is named after a phrase that identifies Dominican slang- it is like a Dominican dictionary. For example, the single “Te Dóblate” is a phrase that we Dominicans use when a woman betrays you.”
The video shot on location in the city of Miami, FL under the direction of Film by Dave captures the essence of the single which recounts the betrayal of a woman.
Always proud of being Dominican, Kiko premiered his most personal single and the one he chose to open the album, “Soy Domi,” on Dominican Independence Day. In this single he perfectly captures the life of a Dominican who emigrates to New York City looking for a better future.
There are 18 songs that make up his new album, which includes collaborations with international artists such as: “Te Dóblate” with Arcángel; “Latina” with Will. I. AM.; “Que Te Vaya Bien” with Zion & Lennox; “Nube Negra” with Farruko; “Háblale de Cualto” with Darell; “Busca un Culo” with El Alfa; “Ruleteo” with Jowell y Randyand Chukiteo” with Ñengo Flow. On the album he also collaborates with rising stars: Kaly Ocho on “Mi Loca”; Randy y Braulio “El Fogón” on “Comandante” and Nicole Franco on “Mi 3 Pana”.
Kiko El Crazy continues to reap success and is part of the all star cast of the Dominican film from Caribbean Cinemas, “Flow Calle,” which premieres on March 24, 2022 in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico and on April 22, 2022 in the United States.
With a unique style and his own flow, Kiko has managed to capture the public’s attention thanks to hits such as: “Trucho” and “Baje con Trenza” which featured the participation of world-class artist Ozuna. With the single “La Pampara” he managed to stand out worldwide, followed by “La Popi” which premiered during the quarantine and managed to place itself in the number 1 position in the list “The 50 most viral” of Spotify® Spain for three consecutive weeks, along with his video which broke schemes and has reached 20 million views on YouTube.
