Joesef Releases Releases The Official Music Video of ‘I Wonder Why‘ Featuring Loyle Carner
Joesef shares a video for ‘I Wonder Why‘. It conveys the intimacy and stillness of our surroundings, especially when our mental state may be in flux. Joesef says “The song is about the slow burn of heartache, and the cyclical nature of losing someone and trying to forget about it”, continuing, “so I wanted the video to feel intimate, and for it to be shot in a bedroom with the idea of your room reflecting your mental state.
Molly Burdett captured this perfectly by introducing a hot to cold transition. It really helped bring the room to life with these subtle touches.”
The track itself is another brilliant, self-produced outing from Joesef. The video truly reflects the nesting quality of the tracks development; it was recorded in the intimate confines of his Glasgow apartment. Loyle Carner’s additional verse melds perfectly the contours of the song forming the perfect collaboration.
His debut EP Play Me Something Nice garnered praise from the likes of Vogue, i-D, NME and Clash. After selling out venues across Europe and the UK, Joesef has added more dates for later in the year, see dates below.
