Joel Corry teams up with MK and Rita Ora to drop ‘Drinkin,’ a new single set to feature on his forthcoming debut album, ‘Another Friday Night.’
Joel Corry has partnered with renowned DJ/producer MK and international singing sensation Rita Ora for his new single, ‘Drinkin.’
The song was performed live by Joel and Rita at Joel’s Ibiza Rocks Residency show last Wednesday. Rita Ora, who recently released her UK Top 10 album ‘You & I’ in July, lends her vocals to ‘Drinkin,’ which serves as a preview of Joel Corry’s upcoming debut album, ‘Another Friday Night’.
Produced in collaboration with MK, who Joel credits as one of his biggest inspirations, ‘Drinkin’ follows the UK Top 10 success of ‘0800 HEAVEN,’ featuring Nathan Dawe & Ella Henderson. The new single also builds on Joel’s recent dance collaborations with Billen Ted (‘Do U Want Me Baby? ft. Elphi’), Caity Baser (‘Dance Around It’), and Icona Pop & Rain Radio (‘Desire’).
Sampling Chance The Rapper’s ‘All Night,’ ‘Drinkin’ captures the classic Joel Corry sound—warm, effervescent chords, bright, infectious vocals, and solid peak-time grooves—making it a dance anthem in the making.
Joel Corry says about the new single, “Drinkin is the late summer 2023 banger we needed,” explains Joel. “As soon as I first flipped the ‘All Night’ sample, it instantly felt like a smash and collaborating with MK is a dream for me. I’ve been a big fan for years and he’s been a huge inspiration to me throughout my career. The icing on the cake was the incredible Rita Ora laying down the vocals. We’ve been friends for a while and we were waiting for the right track to collaborate on. ‘Drinkin’ feels like exactly that!”
