Instagram and KFC have joined Jack Harlow to make additional donations to the five local organizations
After seeing the individual donations Jack made earlier this week, Instagram is matching up to $50K of what he raises through their nonprofit fundraising tool, benefiting The Center for Women and Families. The donation match is aligned with Instagram’s larger initiative celebrating their birthday. What’s more, Louisville, KY-based KFC is making their donations to both AMPED and Grace James Academy, to help further the efforts of those organizations to feed the potential of Louisville’s youth.
Instagram and KFC have joined multi-platinum, GRAMMY-nominated rapper Jack Harlow to make additional donations to the five local organizations the 23-year-old donated to earlier this week, all of which benefit causes close to his heart.
Jack says, “Louisville is more than just an area code to me. It means everything to me. It’s the foundation of who I am. I spent all my life fantasizing about being someone that could put the city on a pedestal,” says Harlow of his hometown. “It’s important to me to keep some positive energy flowing through the city. Things are not easy right now and I feel so privileged to be in the position I’m in. I feel a responsibility to give back and help pave a way for others.”
Last week, Harlow wrapped the first leg of his sold-out, headlining “Crème de la Crème Tour,” as well as delivering an electrifying performance during a mainstage set at the first weekend of this year’s Austin City Limits Festival. Harlow was hailed as one of the standout performers at this summer’s biggest festivals including Lollapalooza, Bottle Rock, Atlanta’s Music Midtown, Rolling Loud Miami and more.
