Puerto Rican urban duo Gigolo & La Exce unveil their new single “Chantaje“ featuring Jay Wheeler featured along with an official video
The new single “Chantaje” comes off of their highly anticipated debut studio album Las II Torres. The song and its official video are available on all digital platforms starting today.
In contrast to “De La Mata”, “Chantaje” features more romantic lyrics and sound, highlighting the duo’s ability to master different musical styles.
Gigolo & La Exce says: “This is our first time collaborating with Jay Wheeler, in a track that is a romantic Reggaeton with a different story plot about the dark side of a relationship that is going through difficult situations” 
The story that unfolds within the video is a creative physical manifestation of what happens when someone chooses to move on from a relationship (despite their pain) while another has trouble letting go. The video for “Chantaje”, which was filmed in New York City, was directed by Joseph Cavallini and produced by his company Sleeping on Mars.
The duo released their EP after being challenged by renowned media personality El Guru during an interview for “La Formula” on Apple Music to create seven songs within seven days. The end result was something that put the Puerto Rican performers and composers on the map showcasing that not only can they rise to whatever challenge is in front of them but also produce music that sets them apart from the rest of the industry, further cementing them as artists to keep an eye out for. Currently, Gigolo & La Exce are working on their highly anticipated first studio album Las II Torres which is expected in early 2022 through RIMAS and also gearing up for their performances in the coming weeks touring cities such as Madrid and Barcelona in Spain, Santiago in the Dominican Republic, and Miami, FL
