Rising star Freddy Tyler Paul Releases New Single ‘Running on Fumes’ From Forthcoming album “Missed Connections“
Freddy Tyler Paul new single ‘Running On Fumes’ features a hazy pop festival-ready track about the love of being on the road.
Freddy shares, “This track is an encapsulation of what I’ve learned about myself over the course the last couple years,” Freddy explains. “Sure, I Iove the home base that is my tiny LA apartment/studio with all it’s little musical toys. However, the road is where I feel most comfortable and free. That’s not something that seems to be going away and I plan on nurturing that desire over the coming years.“
His debut recor Missed Connections marks his first self-produced solo album featuring himself performing every instrument throughout the record. Growing up in Chicago, IL, Freddy got his creative start pursuing filmmaking in high school. His passions quickly shifted into the world of songwriting after starting and leading a popular local band in the Chicago area.
Upon settling in LA, Freddy wrote and self-produced his debut record over the span of 2 months in his home studio. It features 10 tracks coated with Freddy’s moody and dynamic vocals that toe the line between Mac DeMarco, Tame Impala, and Still Woozy. Today, Freddy divides his time between being a full-time photographer, recording artist, & music producer, a balancing act he gladly welcomes.
Freddy earned a degree in music theory and audio engineering over the course of his college career, allowing himself to produce at a higher caliber on his own without the financial burden of booking studio time. During this time, he honed his skills as a photographer, filmmaker, and music producer developing other artists in the Chicago area.
