FLETCHER unveils “Boy,” the first taste of her upcoming album ‘Would You Still Love Me If You Really Knew Me?

Platinum-certified singer-songwriter FLETCHER opens a bold new era with the release of her emotionally resonant single “Boy,” available now via Capitol Records. The track arrives alongside the announcement of her third studio album Would You Still Love Me If You Really Knew Me?, set for release on July 18.

“Boy” begins gently, led by soft piano and acoustic guitar, allowing FLETCHER’s lyrics to take center stage. She sings, “I kissed a boy / And I know it’s not what you wanted to hear,” introducing a deeply personal narrative of discovery and vulnerability.

The song was co-produced by FLETCHER herself and Jennifer Decilveo, a GRAMMY®-winning producer with whom she’s worked closely. Shane McAnally, the record-breaking songwriter known for collaborations with Kacey Musgraves, H.E.R., and Maren Morris, co-wrote the track.

With the new album, FLETCHER invites listeners into her most unguarded self. From its raw lyrics to its minimal production, “Boy” exemplifies the artistic transparency that defines this era of her career. The song captures not only personal growth but the broader experience of Queer identity.
