Global Latin music stars Farina and Arcángel reveals their highly-anticipated EP FloWres
The new EP ‘Flowers’ is a sultry, provocative reggaetón that talks about the flirtatious and sensual adventures of two people who are in it for the fun rather than the commitment.
The album also features “Pégate,” an R&B/reggaetón fusion that talks about a relationship between two people from different social statuses; “Qué Bien,” a sultry HipHop/reggaetón mix about the morning after a long night of lovemaking; “Comas y Ceros,” a Latin trap that will surely become the new money anthem; “Humedad,” an extremely sexy reggaetón and trap mix with lots of suggestive imagery about people feeling an extreme attraction towards each other; and the newly-released “Montoya,” an attitude-filled reggaetón with hints of FARINA’s signature freestyles telling a modern-day Bonnie & Clyde story.
FARINA shares, “I’m very excited by the way people have accepted ‘La Boca’ and I can’t wait for everyone to immerse themselves in the wonderful journey that is FLOW RES. I can’t think of anyone else I would’ve loved to work on this with than Arcángel. I can’t even put into words everything I learned from this reggaetón pioneer while we were collaborating on this project. His work ethic and passion are unparalleled, and that’s why I think this EP is so great. I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did making it,”
FARINA became known in her native Colombia in 2005 after finishing third on the reality competition The X-Factor. After an album and landing a lead role in a prominent telenovela — which led her to win several acting awards — she focused on her music and in 2017, her career skyrocketed.
Arcángel said, “Having worked with Farina was a unique experience. I was able to share many studio hours with a super talented artist and above all, a super independent artist when it came to working and producing her own music. For me, Farina is better equipped than 80 percent of the men in the urban industry. She is magical in and out. I never saw her write her bars but I didn’t see anyone writing them for her either. She’s the closest thing to me that I have seen inside a music studio. Tremendous companion, excellent human being, and definitely one of the most talented people in urban music that I have ever met. #MAMIFARI,”
FARINA has won over the Latin music industry with her unapologetic lyrics, unique voice, empowering raps, and impressive freestyles, not mentioning her bold and very avant garde fashion choices, which you can witness in her collaboration with Thalía and Sofía Reyes, “Tick Tock” (14 million views), her participation with Leslie Shaw in “Estoy Soltera” (28 million views), and her video “Así Así” with Maluma (62 million views) just to mention a few.
Arcángel began to gain massive audiences with his first solo album in 2007, titled “La Maravilla” and later with the release of “El Fenómeno” in 2008.
In 2019, he released the album “Historias De Un Capricornio,” which debuted #2 on Billboard’s “Top Latin Albums” and was certified platinum by the RIAA. With this album, the artist released the worldwide hit “Sigues Con El” with Sech, which became one of the most essential anthems in Latin popular music, taking the #1 spot on the US radio charts, and having an 8x multi-platinum certification by the RIAA.
