Rising pop star Fanny Andersen shares new single ‘Pretty Girls Are Never Lonely‘ featured along with music video
The new single ‘Pretty Girls Are Never Lonely‘ reveals the young singer’s sensitive side, beautifully highlighted with subtle production and gentle vocals. The new offering is not without Fanny’s signature of honest lyricism, which once again reveals her visceral talent for clever songwriting and a one to watch for the months ahead.
‘Pretty Girls Are Never Lonely‘ is the final track from Fanny’s EP which completes the re-introduction to Fanny Andersen 2.0. The EP is an honest snapshot of 24 hours in the day of Fanny Andersen, a storyboard where she sometimes doesn’t want to ‘wake up’, her days are ‘complicated’ and the nights are lonely.
Fanny shares, “The song is about being judged by your ‘cover’, and exploring what might be hidden under the surface. Everyone has more to them than what we see on the surface, and sometimes when people are struggling they put on an act to pretend everything is ok.”
Fanny ensued coping mechanisms and felt creatively challenged. Fanny soon developed a knack for delivering songs about the extremes and complexities of modern life in a package that, on first listen, sounds positively upbeat. The challenges she faced during this time are depicted in her comeback single Wake Up.
Fanny is well placed to continue her journey from the false start and deliver her clever pop to the masses again. Fanny gives further testament to this by signing her publishing deal during lockdown, to Stellar Songs- home to Stargate, Charli XCX and Sam Smith.
Fanny is currently in the studio working with a new line of collaborators including Olly Burden (The Prodigy), Steve Weston (Skrillex / Rudimental), and Jamie Reynolds (Klaxons), and has new music for 2021 on the horizon.
