Pop star on the rise Emilia Ali is back with a brand new debut EP Girls Like You
She says: “I wrote/co-wrote most of Girls Like You You when I was younger, leaving little bread crumbs to my truth, and unaware of what or why I was creating when I was creating it. I was unaccepting of myself and sexuality for the longest time because most of my behavior was in exchange for love, acceptance, or safety from other people.”
Emilia’s vocals and writing have also been heard on dwilly’s 2018 single “ADD,” accumulating more than 10 million global streams. In 2020, she co-wrote and featured on Mickey Valen’s single “ur perfect i hate it” and dwilly’s single on Atlantic, “love is scary.”
Earlier this year, Emilia signed a publishing deal with Ultra and has fully cultivated her production skills with the release of Girls Like You. The EP includes her two recent singles, “Beautiful” and “Loved the ocean.”
Fans can expect an official music video for the EP’s title track “Girls Like You” on July 30th.
