Hot on the heels of her latest release ‘I’m Lost‘, Elohim Reveals Her Brand New Single ‘Good Day Bad Day‘
Elohim’s new single “Good Day Bad Day” is the follow-up to her latest single“I’m Lost”. The new single was accompanied by an equally mind-bending official music video, directed by longtime collaborator, Chase O’Black.
” Written and produced entirely by the burgeoning star, the bouncy, effervescent bassline drives her honest and deeply introspective lyrics. “My anxiety hits differently cause I know that I’m insane,” she sings before leading into the track’s infectiously optimistic chorus, “Today’s a good day. Tomorrow’s a new day. If today’s a bad day, tomorrow’s a new day. We got to celebrate when we get a good day. If today’s a bad day, tomorrow’s a new day.”
Speaking about the new track, Elohim reveals, “To be honest, it seems like the good days have been too few and far between lately…but deep in my heart I know a good day is there running beside us in a parallel universe, and I wrote this song to help remind me that nothing is permanent and anything can happen.”
The tender ballad beginnings give way to a trippy beat-tipped passage, which is also reflected in its official music video. Shot during the pandemic, with scenes that include the California desert and the lawless town of Slab City, it weaves in post-production elements that capture the dissociative, hallucinatory vibes that ensue.
Last month Elohim revealed a brand new Remix EP for her new single “I’m Lost.” The 4-track collection features remixes by Australian producer, edapollo, UK-based production duo Eli & Fur, UK house & techno duo PAX and Canadian musician and producer, Jacques Greene.
