UK-born dynamic pop artist Ella Rosa take us into epic adventure with new EP ‘Anxious Attachment Style’
The EP focuses on being your authentic self and not trying to people-please, and was inspired by the sounds of Ella’s childhood when she first explored electronic music in the UK. Anxious Attachment Style marks the now LA-based artist’s second EP in as many years. In their track-by-track feature, Paper Magazine called it it “sensuous.”
Ella shares: “This body of work came together naturally after I began to let go of my people pleasing tendencies and started to lean towards full transparency,” “The title came to me when I realized that all of the music I had been writing was fully saturated in themes that link to having an anxious attachment style. Instead of trying to get rid of it I enhanced it and poured it into this project. The first genre I landed on was drum and bass, hence all the speedy drums in all of these songs. I want this project to give people the space to be fun, spontaneous and wear their heart on their sleeve.”
Her music has been featured in tastemaker publications like PAPER, Lyrical Lemonade, Schön, Notion and Wonderland with her songwriting work landing on Spotify’s Notable editorial playlist, and her continued rise as a genre-bending artist is imminent. Rosa’s career is really just beginning, with her first releases in 2020 marking the introduction to a journey that led her to SXSW stages in 2022 with an impressive slate of live shows, fresh singles and a crystal clear creative vision to come.
