One month after his latest release ‘Cuernú’, Eix returns with another Latin hit “Aprendí’ featured with an official video
The new single “Aprendí” is a song that not only includes a vibrant and refreshing sound, but also delivers a message of self-love. The song, released under Duars Entertainment.
‘Aprendí’ was Produced by DVega, Reyter and Ouxis in collaboration with Los Fantastikos, the song was born in a songwriter’s camp in Medellin, Colombia. “Aprendí”, brings a powerful message about acceptance, self-love, and maturity in order to move forward after you gave it your all in a relationship and that was undervalued.
Eix shares, “I think we have all gone through a similar situation, where you give everything to one person, leaving everything behind and that just wasn’t not enough. However, no one dies from heartbreak , we are only left with a lesson learned to continue on our way”
The music video was directed by Charel Films and was filmed in Puerto Rico. With dim images, illuminated by old lamps, a man is shown with his current love, after having left a toxic relationship that taught him many lessons in his life. With an encounter between the past and the present, Eix performs the track addressing his ex-partner, with whom he learned so much from.
This past February, Eix released his song “Cuernú”, dedicated to men who are overly possessive, jealous, and think that women are just their property. With this song, the young singer-songwriter used his voice to denounce violence against women due to a growing number of gender violence during the worldwide pandemic. In Puerto Rico, it has become a topic of discussion due to many heartbreaking cases of women who have died at the hands of their partners.
